Recreio Beach is a new neighborhood to the south–west of Rio de Janeiro, after the quarter ends and the Barra da Tjuca Rock Pontal. After the Rock Pontal will find the wonderful beaches of Macumba, Prainha and Grumari.

Recreio is under development and construction so there are large residential buildings as Barra da Tjuca, but the buildings are low and luxurious, and tourism has not yet a major stream on the site. This is a district still natural, however, already are many residents in the area.

From the south of Rio de Janeiro, Ipanema and Copacabana, Recreio can be reached by bus, private taxi.

The Recreio beach is the main element of this wonderful place, the beach has a vast expanse of the sea and has crystal clear water.

Recreio beach is frequented by many surfusti and organizes a series of international tournaments surfing and bodyboarding.

On the waterfront near the Pedra do Pontal is a major bike path, in addition to traditional kiosks where you can eat fresh fish and typical Brazilian.

The Recreio beach is not very popular, there is not much flow as people on Copacabana beach and the Ipanema beach, and then you can relax comfortably.

Instead of 12 beach Recreio is the Pedra Pontal, a hill of stone through which you can see both sides of the beach and the beautiful landscape.
