Ipanema Beach is the most fashionable district of the city of Rio de Janeiro, located between Leblon and Arpoador beach.

The district became famous thanks to the musical style of bossa nova 60 years, but mainly from the song by Antonio Carlos Jobin and Vinicius de Moraes, authors of the famous song Garota de Ipanema.

The Ipanema Beach is divided by points, ie at each point there are watchtowers of lifeguards (bomberos), to help the swimmers, but most visitors who gather along the pedestrian street of Viera Souto, where there are kiosks and vendors selling a variety of Brazilian products original.
