Barra da Tijuca is a neighborhood (bairro) in the South-West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
The Barra da Tijuca district, in addition to having a wonderful beach of about 18 kilometers, offers excellent options for shopping centers, restaurants, night clubs.
The neighborhood, one of the richest in Rio de Janeiro, is made up of residential buildings and luxury shopping centers that develop around the long and panoramic beach where it is possible to practice any sport.

Inland, much of the business takes place in huge shopping malls such as BarraShopping, home to cinemas, hip clubs, gourmet restaurants, and bowling alleys. BarraShopping is a huge shopping mall with over 500 shops and numerous entertainment services, cinemas and restaurants. Most of the shopping centers are located along Viale Americas. Shopping in Barra is exciting, you will find numerous chain stores, international brands.

Barra is home to the Rio Water Planet, which is considered the largest water park in all of Latin America, with waterfalls, rushing rivers and man-made beaches.
